I will tell you the more you get into cans the more you will be willing to sacrifice some sound reduction for weight reduction. Who's will stand behind their product for the life of the can? What else should I be looking at for a 9mm/.22 can? Main concerns are sound reduction, mfg reputation/service, size/weight in that order. Rugged Obsidian 45 - 9mm and can be used for subsonic 300blk Rugged Radiant - 556, 300blk, 308 and 300 WM Both cans are modular and can be run in short or long configuration, depending on your needs. I guess it's going to come down to service. Everything else is out of stock right now. I’d imagine the Ghost to perform similarly. Mod9 is the best all-around 9mm silencer and it is DEFINITELY the best 9mm handgun silencer. It is much more quiet, much lighter, cheaper, and same warranty effectively. I ended up getting both because the Obsidian 9 was very underwhelming. Don’t know how well the Obsidian 9 is with 300 blk, but my obsidian 45 with 9mm cap is barely hearing safe. Dude, please dont fuck up like me and get the Obsidian 9 over a Mod9. Short configurations are intended to be as short as can be while remaining hearing safe. Also looking at the Gemtech Lunar 9 - Newer can and IN STOCK. As for short vs long, yes it will be much louder, otherwise there wouldn’t be a point to modular cans.Full length is almost 9" though! But it's light. Dead Air is more expensive by almost $200 but it's definitely the nicest. The Rugged Obsidian 9 lifetime warranty is nice but maybe a bit long in the tooth? Plus it's the heaviest. The CGS Mod 9 has really good reviews on pew science. AAC being owned by Freedom Group worries me a bit as well. +1 for rugged Obsidian 9 and Omega 9K Reply reply ConfuciusMonkey Rex Silentium MG7K 358 if you are looking to ball on a budget. ![]()
